Blackout poetry is a unique art form where you create a new poem from an existing text. Instead of starting with a blank page, you take a piece of writing like from a book or newspaper and black out most of the words, leaving only a select few. The words you leave behind then form your new poem, and the blacked out areas create interesting visual designs. It’s about finding hidden messages and new stories within old words.
Verseve will be focusing on featuring Black out poems made with text from Alice in Wonderland
Create your poetry and send us a high quality image to be featured in an upcoming Verseve online magazine.
We will stop accepting work once we received 20 pieces. We will update this page when we stop receiving works.

Subject Line: Black Out Poetry – Pen Name
This poem is about an insecure person consumed by a desire that they intellectually dismiss the other and morally condemn themselves. It’s about someone who is drawn towards someone who triggers their own dark nature that leads to self corruption by knowing the path they are on is “trouble” and leads to “burning down under,” yet they are compelled by it.
